Zak Kidd
Founder & CEO
AskHumans is led by Zak Kidd.
Zak is an entrepreneur with a background in building technology companies, software development, and finance. Before AskHumans, he was the technical co-founder of SwingSpace and launched HomeTour and OfficeTour.
From 2014 to 2022, he founded and ran DupontStudios, a Ruby on Rails development studio. Earlier in his career, he worked in private equity and finance.
Zak holds a BA from Morehouse College and a Master of Public Policy in Economics & Policy from Harvard University. At AskHumans, he leads our work to bring human perspectives into how organizations understand problems and decide what to do next.
Our philosophy
Human intelligence is the starting point.
The goal is not to collect more feedback for its own sake. It is to understand what people know, where their experiences differ, and what would make a meaningful difference.
Use AI to understand, not to speak for people.
AI should help us ask better follow-up questions, connect perspectives, and make sense of complexity. It should preserve the context behind an answer and make it possible to trace a conclusion back to what someone actually said.
Make listening an ongoing practice.
Feedback matters when it changes what happens next. We believe listening should be part of everyday work: ask, understand, act, and return to the people affected to learn whether things improved.
